The Montreal Canadiens have acquired Max Domi from the Arizona Coyotes in exchange for Alex Galchenyuk.

The 23-year old Domi was drafted in the first round (No. 12 overall) of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft by the Phoenix Coyotes. Domi has posted three solid seasons with the Coyotes so far, having tallied 135 points in 222 games.

In 2017-18, Domi collected nine goals and 36 helpers to boost his point tally to 45 on the season.

Domi is coming off a three-year entry level contract worth $4,275,000, with an AAV of $1,363,333.

The 24-year-old Galchenyuk had 19 goals and 32 assists while playing in all 82 games this season for the second time in three years.
