Exciting news! NHL Player and our national spokesperson @max_domi will be at the Montreal Walk this June 9th!
- The Sun Life Walk to Cure Diabetes for JDRF is the largest diabetes fundraising event in Canada. It’s JDRF’s signature event to raise money to fund research breakthroughs that will help people living with type 1 diabetes live a healthier life, and ultimately breakthroughs that will cure type 1 diabetes.
- I know first-hand that IT TAKES A TEAM to fight type 1 diabetes. I was diagnosed at age 12, and I’ve never let type 1 slow me down. With the support of my health care team, family, coaches and teammates, I have realized my dream of playing professional hockey.
- When I was a kid I participated in the Walk in Toronto. Life has come full circle, as I am now really proud to be JDRF’s National Spokesperson for the Walk to help advance their mission and will be walking in Montreal on June 9. I’m now asking Canadians to TEAM UP, walk with me and raise money for research
