The 23-year-old forward leads the Canadiens with 11 points so far this season

MONTREAL – Forward Max Domi is the Molson Cup recipient for the month of October.

Domi was selected second star of the game four times (on October 3 at Toronto, October 23 against Calgary, October 25 at Buffalo and October 27 at Boston). He finished ahead of teammates Tomas Tatar, Paul Byron, Carey Price and Jonathan Drouin.

In 11 games in October, Domi led the team with 11 points and five powerplay points (tied with J. Drouin). He ranked second on the team for goals (5) and assists (6 – tied with T. Tatar and A. Lehkonen), scoring his first career goal with the Canadiens on October 17 against St. Louis.

He set a personal-high with a six-game point streak (October 15 to 27), recording eight points (5-3-8).

The 23-year-old forward will be presented with the Molson Cup during a ceremony prior to tomorrow’s game against the Washington Capitals at the Bell Centre.
